Summary

Claridge House is a period building constructed in the 1920s of a traditional red brick masonry structure.

Stow purchased this mixed office, retail and residential investment in September 2008. The property occupies one of the best locations in Mayfair next to Claridges Hotel and is a fully let standing investment. Stow’s objective is to exploit opportunities to add value and enhance the quality of the investment through active asset and property management.

The opportunities to provide further residential accommodation, either for sale or to let, will be explored including the addition of a penthouse floor. The strategy for the retail and office accommodation will aim to enhance investment returns by increasing rental income through active management and a programme of improvement works.

Summary

Adidas global flagship store has opened its door in October 2019 following a reconfiguration and extension of the five floors (42,000 sq ft) to create a self-contained retail unit with a main entrance on Oxford Street.

The redevelopment work was undertaken in a series of phases over a circa two years period. The preliminary phase of activity started on site at the end of August 2016 and included the strip out of the floors and the removal of asbestos in the ground and basement floors. Handover of the bespoke scheme to adidas, to include stairwells and lift cores, took place in June 2019.
